David Piller was born in Fribourg, Switzerland, where he grew up till the age of twelve. He then settled down with his parents in Geneva, where he graduated from high school with a diploma of « Maturité gymnasiale artistique ». He studied History of Art at the University of Geneva and worked in varied professional fields before establishing himself in the Canton de Vaud where he studied at the School of Ceramics of the Centre d’Enseignement Professionnel de Vevey (CEPV). He graduated in 2018. He is now developing a professional activity with children’s books.
